Though it’s unclear who will place second and third on the podium, the Manchester City striker has received more votes than Lionel Messi and Kevin de Bruyne.

Erling Haaland is dating Isabel Haugseng Johansen.
Haaland and his girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen were sighted in London’s West End earlier this year.
There is a valid reason why the couple is rarely seen together.
Isabel, 19, is a footballer too.
In fact, that is how the couple fell in love.
At age five, Haaland joined the neighbourhood team Bryne.
Before being signed by Molde, he would spent more than a decade with the Norwegian team.
After a wild debut in the professional game, Leeds-born Haaland later signed with RB Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund, and Man City.
But it was at Bryne that Haaland met Isabel – who also works part-time at a fashion store.
The couple met while he was playing for Dortmund and grew up together in the club’s academy.
They appear to be in a serious relationship, a source told The Sun.
“Isabel has visited Erling in Germany and England, and she is currently on vacation with him.”
“Isabel is renowned in Bryne for her beauty. They have been close friends forever.”
“Erling has the world at his feet, and women are lining up to be his partner,” the insider continued.
“He is a very smart young man, so it makes total sense that he is seeing a girl from his hometown who he has known for years. He must be able to put his trust in those around him and focus solely on football.”
With Norway failing to qualify for Qatar, the pair travelled to Haaland’s villa in warm Marbella during the World Cup break.

Erling and Isabel most recently went shopping on Oxford Street to celebrate the Man City star’s new £20 million contract with Nike.
