The Washington Commanders have made the decision to part ways with defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio, as announced by head coach Ron Rivera on Friday. This move comes amid a disappointing performance by the Washington defense, which has seen a significant decline, landing them at the bottom of the NFL rankings. The team, currently with a 4-8 record, has suffered three consecutive losses, including a notable 45-10 defeat to the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, and eight losses in the past 10 games.

The string of losses intensified the pressure on the organization to take corrective action, leading to the decision to relieve Jack Del Rio of his duties as defensive coordinator. The team is now poised to make changes in an effort to address the defensive struggles and improve their overall performance in the remainder of the season.
