John Means, who has recently cleared his path for a shot to fame and excellence, was born in the city of Olathe in the US state of Kansas on April 24, 1993.

The 28-year-old made his debut appearance on September 26, 2018, and has been since known informally as ‘Meansy’, according to the official website of Major League Baseball. Means has been associated with the Baltimore Orioles since 2014 after a round 11 draft.

Means, who was overall pick number 331 in the 2014 draft, attended Gardner-Edgerton and Fort Scott Community College in Kansas for his primary education. He further went on to attend West Virginia University, which is believed to be his launchpad to the world of MLB. 

The Baltimore Orioles player, who broke a decades-old record of a ‘no-hitter’ against the Mariners in Seattle, has a family which is also rooted in sports.

Jake Means, his younger brother, was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 22nd round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft. Meanwhile, his wife Caroline is a former professional soccer player.
