Logan Cooke is an American football punter for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). Born on July 28, 1995), he played college football at Mississippi State and was drafted by the Jaguars in the seven round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Cooke went to Columbia Academy for high school and played football there. Prior to deciding to enrol at Mississippi State, he had offers from various other colleges. From 2014 until 2017, Cooke was a player at Mississippi State. He averaged 41.7 yards per punt on 150 punts for a total of 6,250 net yards.

The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Cooke in the seventh round (247th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft. In the Jaguars’ regular-season opener against the New York Giants, he played in his first NFL game. He had seven punts for 264 net yards in the 20-15 triumph. Overall, he had 86 punts for 3,872 net yards and a 45.02 average for his debut campaign. Cooke extended his Jaguars deal for four years and $12 million on March 20, 2021.

The 27-year-old has a 46.3 career gross punting average, the second-highest in franchise history. Cooke has the best punting percentage in franchise history inside the 20-yard line, with 37.3 percent of his punts landing.

Cooke’s 42.9 net punting average (min. 50 punts) ranks fourth in the league. His 81 punts inside the 20-yard-line also make ranks him the seventh in NFL. In 2020, he had the third-highest net punting average in the AFC with a 43.2. Cooke has also completed three passes on three attempts for a total of 20 yards.

He has participated in the Catch-A-Dream Foundation, which provides hunting and fishing opportunities to kids with life-threatening illnesses. He also supported the Ronald McDonald House of Jacksonville through the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats campaign in 2020.
