Ludvig Aberg, a former Texas Tech golfer, had a 3-under-par 69 on Sunday and tied for 25th place in the RBC Canadian Open after birdying his final three holes.

After making bogey at the par-4 10th, Aberg was 1-over for the day. The 23-year-old Swede then made two par-5s and two par-4s over the final seven holes.

Although Aberg had previously competed in professional tournaments as an amateur, this past week at Oakdale Golf & Country Club marked his first since he obtained full status on the PGA Tour by winning the PGA Tour University rankings and being first on the points list.

The first three days, Aberg had scores of 69, 72, and 71. He finished in a group with Ryan Moore at 7 under.

Ludvig Noa Åberg was born in October 31st 1999 in Eslöv, Sweden. Since 2017, Aberg has represented Sweden in a number of capacities. In addition to taking home the Fairhaven Trophy in England in 2017, he was third in Japan at the 2018 Toyota Junior Golf World Cup.

Aberg made his DP World Tour debut at the 2018 Nordea Masters, placing T-34 after placing eighth at the Junior Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass. He finished second at the African Amateur Stroke Play Championship the following year.

In both of his prior DP World Tour appearances, Ludivg made the cut—T-34 at the Nordea Masters in 2018 and T-30 at the Scandinavian Mixed Hosted by Henrik & Annika in 2021. Additionally, he qualified for the PGA Tour’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship 2021(T-51) by making the cut. In 2020, he twice triumphed in the Nordic Golf League.
