The biggest sporting event in the US, NFL Super Bowl LVII, is going to kickstart in Arizona on Sunday, February 12. While the world is eyeing all the teams and players, an elementary school kid, Miles Waage, from Waukee is gaining attention.

Waage is going to be Panini America’s Super Bowl “kid reporter” for 2023. He will be helping Panini America to cover the sports event and will be seen taking interviews of many important players.

Who is Miles Waage?

Miles Waage is an 11-year-old elementary school student from Waukee. He is presently studying at the Radiant Elementary School. Moreover, Waage reportedly lives with his father, Nick Waage, and stepmother Sarah Waage. As a matter of fact, Sarah has been helping him to prepare for the interviews.

Miles is known to be an avid football card collector. According to Panini Football cards, he received a card in one of the packs that invited him to enter video content for the upcoming Super Bowl event. The video content was part of the selection process for the next ‘kid reporter’ from Panini America. His family supported Miles and asked him to go to the competition.

Subsequently, Miles got selected among the 135,000 applicants for further rounds and the rest is history. According to Sarah, the judges were impressed by Miles’ interviewing skills which led to his victory over nine other finalists.

Miles will be seen in the Super Bowl coverage throughout the week. He may even get a chance to meet Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins. Former quarterback, Trent Dilfer, will be accompanying him at the Footprint Center in Phoenix.

Reportedly, Miles wants to become a pilot but the kid shows an immense talent for media. Additionally, he attended a sports broadcasting camp in the summer.
