Jim and Monique have one son together. The couple, who is still together, has, however, gone through a good deal of trouble. Monique made a false charge of violence against her spouse two years after they got married. She admitted to lying to detectives when she initially reported that her football player husband had physically assaulted her and threatened to “snap” her neck before the jury in 1999.

At the time, Monique said that she had called 911 to prevent Brown from meeting his lover because she was upset with Brown since she thought he was cheating on her.
