After Olivia Finstead, the ex-girlfriend of Chicago White Sox pitcher Mike Clevinger accused the latter of abusing her and their now 10-month-old daughter she was pregnant with then, Clevinger was under investigation by Major League Baseball (MLB). On March 6, the MLB Department of Investigations concluded its probe and announced that he will not face any disciplinary action.
Who is Olivia Finstead?
Olivia Finstead is a 24-year-old woman. She is an entrepreneur and is known to be the founder of PMS Less, a brand that offers PMS relief-based products. She is the ex-girlfriend and the mother of the third child of Chicago White Sox pitcher Mike Clevinger.

In 2022, Finstead alleged on social media that Clevinger abused her and the child she was pregnant with. In a series of Instagram stories, she showed bruises allegedly from physical abuse by the 32-year-old baseball player and claimed that he choked and “strangled her”, and also “threw chew spit on our baby”.
“You really deserve hell,” she wrote. “I’ve kept quiet for almost a year and you continue to covertly abuse your infant, and withhold ALL of her belongings, we have none of our stuff, still not even her birth certificate or car seat attachment. He’s made sure to do everything he can to keep control.”

In the summer of 2022, Finstead approached the MLB Department of Investigations, The Athletic reported, following which the MLB announced that they are launching an investigation into the matter.
In the March 6 press release announcing the end of the investigation, the MLB said that it has conducted “interviews of more than 15 individuals, in addition to Mr. Clevinger and the complainant” and reviewed “available documents, such as thousands of electronic communication records” and concluded that no further action is needed in the case.

“The Office of the Commissioner has closed this investigation and, barring the receipt of any new information or evidence, the Office of the Commissioner will not be imposing discipline on Mr. Clevinger in connection with these allegations,” it said.
