Stefon Mar’sean Diggs is an American football player. He plays for the Buffalo Bills in the National Football League (NFL). Diggs, born on November 29, 1993, played college football in Maryland. He was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

His younger brothers, Trevon Diggs (Alabama) and Mar’Sean Diggs (A UAB graduate) both played college football.

Despite his late-round draft status, he became a full-time starter for the Vikings midway through his rookie year. Alongside Adam Thielen, he became a part of an effective receiving tandem. His highlights include catching the “Minneapolis Miracle” pass during the 2017–18 NFL playoffs.

Following this, he received a 5-year extension and played two more seasons in Minnesota. After that, he was traded to Buffalo in 2020. With the Bills, he became the fastest receiver to surpass 100 catches. Owing to this, he broke Eric Moulds’ franchise record for receiving yards in a season.

Diggs also led an all NFL receiver in 2020 with 127 receptions and 1,535 receiving yards.

In his early years, Diggs accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. There, he played on coach Randy Edsall’s Maryland Terrapins football team from 2012 to 2014.

Diggs, as a freshman, tallied 1,896 all-purpose yards, marking the second-most in a single season in school history.

In 2012, he was chosen second-team All-ACC return specialist and ended second to Duke’s Jamison Crowder for ACC Rookie of the Year. In 2014, he was selected second-team All-Big Ten in recognition of his successful junior season.

In Week 16 at New England in 2020, he caught nine passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns. The performance saw him being named the AFO Offensive Player of the Week. He also became the first Bill WR to earn the honour since Andre Reed in 1994.

In 2019, he recorded a career-high eight receptions of 40 yards or longer 2019, which was tied for most in the NFL.
