Clemson’s running back Will Shipley was injured in Saturday’s game against North Carolina State, in the second quarter.

He was struck in the back and neck region while running ten yards to the one-yard line, which resulted in the injury. The officials decided not to evaluate it even though it was a close call for targeting. With the help of the training personnel, Shipley was able to exit the field on his own, albeit slowly. He had six rushes for 21 yards during the contest.

Will Shipley is an exceptionally gifted and adaptable American college football running back playing for the Clemson Tigers. He was born in Weddington, North Carolina, on August 29, 2002, and is renowned for his exceptional speed, deception, and skill at receiving passes from the backfield.

Shipley was a five-star recruit out of high school, having been ranked by Rivals.com as the nation’s top all-purpose running back and 45th overall player. In addition, he received recognition as a US Army All-American and a McDonald’s All-American.

In January 2021, Shipley enrolled at Clemson University and soon after gained the starting running back position for the Tigers. He demonstrated his abilities in his rookie campaign, racking up 739 yards and 11 touchdowns on 149 carries. In addition, he returned 14 kickoffs for 380 yards and recorded 16 receptions for 116 yards.

He was selected as an all-purpose player for the first-team All-ACC for his exceptional performance. Shipley had an outstanding season, rushing for 1,182 yards and 15 touchdowns on 210 rushes, 242 yards from 38 receptions, and 324 yards from 13 kickoff returns.

Shipley is regarded as one of the country’s most explosive and dynamic running backs. He is a dangerous player on the field since he can score from any touch.
