Kevin Systrom co-founded photo and video sharing app Instagram with Mike Krieger in San Francisco, California, in 2010.
Born in 1983 in Holliston, Massachusetts, Systrom completed his bachelor’s degree in in management science and engineering from the world-renowned Stanford University in 2006.
He then went on to join search giants Google, working on Gmail, Google Calendar, Docs, and various other products, but left within 2 years after not being promoted.
Systrom spent the next few years developing Burbn with Krieger, and the platform eventually went on to become the blueprint for Instagram.
