Reports suggest that the iOS 16 will have new personalization features which will enhance the user experience significantly. In the pre-release statement, Apple said, “iOS 16 enhances iPhones with all-new personalisation features, deeper intelligence and more seamless ways to communicate and share”.

Although Apple has released the new iPhone 14 series last week in the Apple Far Out event, the iOS 16 update will be available for lower models as well. Users who are using iPhone 8 or above will be able to upgrade to the new iOS 16.

Apple will release the upgrade from its headquarters in the US. Usually, Apple OS upgrades are available to all users instantly after its release. However, with the new upgrade coming from US, it might be late tonight (September 12, 2022) or early tomorrow morning (September 13, 2022) for it to reach India.

Apple users in India will most certainly be able to upgrade to the new iOS 16 by early morning on September 13, 2022. To get the iOS 16 as soon as it is released, make sure to turn the automatic update feature on. This can be done by going to Settings> General> Software Update.
