Social messaging application WhatsApp is reportedly working on
a new user-friendly ‘log out’ feature that will allow them to sign out of the
application whenever they do not want to use the app. Apart from this, WhatsApp
will be upgrading itself with new features and updates, as per Mashable. WABetaInfo,
a website that keeps the world aware of new changes in WhatsApp, was the first
one to eye this development.

The ‘log out’ feature has been in demand by users for quite
some time now. While keeping the phone down and not opening WhatsApp is an easy
way to keep distance from the app, it is difficult to fight this force of
habit. The only alternative offered up till now is uninstalling or deleting the
app. Hence, the new ‘sign out’ feature might be a blessing in disguise.

The ‘log out’ feature is available on a
number of apps like Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Mashable and WABetaInfo also reported another feature that
will possibly be available on WhatsApp beta called the ‘multi-device support’ for
iOS users. This feature is an upgradation on using WhatsApp Web.

WhatsApp is working
on developing two kinds of multi-device usage – one, where a user can use
WhatsApp Web without the phone connected to the Internet, and second, where a
user can connect up to four different devices to the main WhatsApp account.
