A new open world adventure rooted in the Star Wars universe has been launched by Lucasfilm Games and Ubisoft as a follow-up to the popular Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The subsequent game, Star Wars Outlaws, takes set in the period between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
In a Star Wars open world game set at a period when the Empire is closing in on the Rebel Alliance and the criminal underworld is thriving in the shadows, players will have the opportunity to explore the Star Wars galaxy like never before.

The game’s footage showcased the characters that players would control and interact with as well as the world in which they would be immersed.
As seen in the trailer, players will assume the roles of crafty con artist Kay Vess and her dependable Axolotl sidekick Nix as they prepare to carry off the biggest heist in the Outer Rim’s history. Join Kay and Nix as they rob, fight, and outsmart their way through the galactic crime syndicates to become the most wanted criminals in order to raise money for a new beginning.

In the trailer, Kay, our main character, may be seen gambling while being followed by bounty hunters. As the trailer goes on, viewers will see a space dogfight, a speeder chase, and blaster action. A new character named Jaylen who acts as a smuggler and is obviously inspired by Han Solo, as well as returning characters and creatures like the Rancor and IG-11 combat droid, stood out in the trailers.
While there has been no release date as of yet, players are teased that Outlaws will arrive in 2024 on Xbox Series X|S consoles, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC through Ubisoft Connect. The gameplay trailer has been announced to be revealed on June 12th 2023 at the Ubisoft Forward event.
