Tuesday’s Indian Super League (ISL) match between Chennaiyin FC and ATK Mohun Bagan ended in a goalless draw, leaving both the teams frustrated after plenty of chances created throughout the game.

ATKMB goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya was a busy man yesterday, as he put up a brilliant performance to deny the multiple opportunities CFC had.

Bhattacharya had to step up right at the fifth minute when he had to block a shot on target from CFC captain Rafael Crivellaro. Bhattacharya was kept on his toes almost throughout the match afterwards.

ATKMB took some time to get into rhythm and Roy Krishna was once again looking out to score. Krishna set up a ball in the 19th minute on the right to Manvir, but failed to receive it back to turn it into an opportunity.

A huge blow for Chennaiyin came in the 69th minute when Crivellaro had to go off with an injury. Bhattacharya had to make two quick save in the 80th minute to deny CFC a goal.

Although ATKMB is known to score late goals, the team failed to keep up to the reputation despite several attempts during the dying minutes of the match.

After Tuesday’s draw, with ATKMB move at the top of the points table with 17 points in eight games while CFC are at seventh with 10 points in eight matches.
