India’s Axar Patel lit up Ahmedabad with 11 wickets to guide India to a memorable victory against England at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium. The Indian spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel did not have to break a sweat as they kept sending the English batsmen back to the pavilion at will.

Patel, who is playing only his second Test, Patel (15-0-32-5), with a match-haul of 11/70, hit the good length area continuously and outclass the English batsmen. While the bowling unit of both the teams stood tall and performed brilliantly to keep the their respective team en route to a win, some of the bowlers failed to create any impact at all.

One of them is Stuart Broad, who, a juggernaut with the red ball, failed to make any dent on the opposition whatsoever.

Broad, who has played an impressive 146 Tests, has 517 wickets to his name, a massive 18-wicket haul and three 10 wickets haul.

Even though the pacers did not have much a role to play in the ongoing Test series, Broad’s performance with the ball is not something which will be talked about.

In the second Test, he bowled 20 overs, gave away 62 runs without any wickets. In the third, he bowled six over and gave away 16 runs. No wickets, again.

With India leading 2-1 in the four-match Test series, England will aim to win the fourth and the final Test and draw the series.
