Rivers retired in 2021 after a fruitful 17-season career in professional football. Since then, he has changed careers and is now the football coach at St. Michael Catholic in Fairhope, Alabama.

Philip Rivers shared his excitement for the new member of their family in a statement. He noticed that while they usually welcomed a child every two years, there had been a lengthier gap this time. Everyone in the family was hoping for a boy, according to Rivers, including their daughters who said they wanted a baby brother.

He married Tiffany in 2001. The couple has nine children together, seven daughters and two sons – Halle, Caroline, Grace, Gunner, Sarah, Peter, Rebecca, Clare, and Anna.
