Two teenagers were tragically killed in a double homicide on Alfred Road, in Braintree, Massachusetts on Sunday, police reported.

The victims were revealed as Jahzier Porter, 16, and Jayden Santos-Andrade, 19, who was slated to turn 20 next month. While Porter was from Braintree, Santos-Andrade is from  Dorchester. The victims were rushed to the South Shore Hospital where they both died.

The police received several reports from 911 callers of hearing gunshots at around 1:30 a.m. The two deceased teens were found in a parked car with gunshot wounds outside 10 Alfred Road. A third person was in the car with the victims but they were reportedly unharmed. The identity of the third person was not revealed.

The incident is currently under investigation and the police have confirmed that there is no threat to the public.

According to Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey, multiple casings were found on the scene. Authorities believe that there was more than one shooter was involved. 

The police also confirmed they had been called to Porter’s home in the past year. The reason for the home visitation is not known. Porter is a student at Braintree High School. Mayor Charles Kokoros said grief counselors will be available for anyone who is in need of it.
