Police in Chesapeake, Virginia, said that a shooter killed up to 10 people inside a Walmart supermarket on November 22. The person who opened fire and killed himself after turning the gun on himself was thought to be the store manager, according to BBC.

There are not many details, but a police officer said there were no more than 10 fatalities and numerous injuries. Reporters were informed by police that the attack took place at 22:12 local time (03:12 GMT). Walmart said it was “shocked” by the incident and was “working closely with law enforcement.”

2. Merritt Island, Florida – June 2, 2019

On Merritt Island, Florida, police arrested a man who they say shot and killed another man near the entrance to a Walmart store. There was no arrest made after questioning the suspected shooter, 27-year-old Walmart employee Rashad Gibson. This shooting is still being investigated.

3. Miami-Dade, Florida – December 8, 2018

A man is accused of opening fire outside a Walmart in northwest Miami-Dade County, inducing panic among customers. Nobody was hurt.

4. Ocala, Florida – November 24, 2018

According to police, David Johnson, 54, fatally shot his former girlfriend, Carli Cronin, 30, during a dispute in the garden center of an Ocala Walmart store. After SWAT team members surrounded his home, Johnson fled the scene and shot himself. He died two days later in the hospital, according to police.

5. Huntersville, North Carolina – November 5, 2018

According to local news, Jonathan Kirk, also known as rapper “Da Baby,” fatally shot 19-year-old Jalyn Craig during an altercation between several people at a Walmart store in Huntersville, North Carolina. Kirk’s charges were later dropped.

6. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – August 14, 2018

According to police, an altercation inside a Walmart store in a Philadelphia suburb ended in gunfire when Keenan Jones allegedly fired at least 10 shots, injuring five people. A pregnant woman was also taken to the hospital after falling during the chaos.

Jones then fled the scene in a vehicle, according to news reports, with police pursuing him. He eventually crashed the car and fought officers, who arrested him. Jones was charged with one count of attempted murder, 13 counts of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and possession of a firearm.

7. Salem, Oregon – June 23, 2018

Jerry Borego, 48, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for shooting a man in the face in a Walmart parking lot in Salem, Oregon. Borrego was also accused the day before of robbing a Macy’s department store at gunpoint. James Goodman III, the victim, was seriously injured but survived.
