Multiple law enforcement and other emergency personnel reached the scene of a shooting inside a Walmart in Florida. Gunfire broke out inside the Florida City Walmart on Wednesday afternoon, leaving one person dead and two others injured, according to Miami-Dade police, who claimed a suspect was in custody.

A man was seen on social media posting a tweet about the shooting and the gunfire he heard just before he and other customers left the store.

At least three people were shot inside a Florida City Walmart on Wednesday afternoon, according to officials, who reported that there was a significant police presence there.

Video shows numerous police officers standing outside the Walmart at 33501 S. Dixie Highway, the scene of the shooting, with their weapons drawn. The video also shows a man being put in the back of a Florida City Police vehicle while held back by handcuffs.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, at about 3 p.m., a 911 medical call was received that might have been related to a shooting at the Walmart, 33501 S. Dixie Highway. Two injured victims were sent to Jackson South Ryder Trauma Center. One was airlifted, and the other was taken by ambulance. The third victim was transported to a nearby hospital for “medical reasons.”

According to investigators, the victim passed away after being taken to Jackson South Trauma Center. While one woman suffered injuries as she slipped while attempting to flee the store, another man had a bullet wound to the foot.

Officials said that they were investigating whether another shooter was involved in the incident.
