As the annual Hollywood ceremony conforms to the pandemic situation,
American actors Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be hosting this year’s award
ceremony bicoastally from New York and Beverly Hills respectively, the Associated Press quoted the Hollywood Foreign Press Association as saying on Tuesday.

According to the organisers, the 78th Golden
Globes ceremony will be held on February 28. It has been decided that Fey will broadcast
live on NBC television from Rainbow Room, while co-host Poehler to go live at Globes’
usual home, the Beverly Hilton.

Globes nominations will be announced on Wednesday morning. The
show on NBC has already been put off to two months due to the coronavirus pandemic
and the Academy Awards’ delayed the schedule decided.

A member of one of America’s most prominent acting families,
veteran actress Jane Fonda, will be bestowed the Cecil B DeMille award during
the ceremony. He has been an inspiration to fans along with critics in films namely
Klute and Coming Home.

“Her undeniable talent has gained her the highest level of
recognition,” said HFPA President Ali Sar applauding Fonda. Adding, “While her
professional life has taken many turns, her unwavering commitment to evoking
change has remained.”

The DeMille Award is presented annually to an “individual
who has made an incredible impact on the world of entertainment.”
