According to the Knox County Sheriff‘s Office (KCSO), there was a shooting just before 11 a.m. behind the Rural King in Halls, Knoxville. There are now reports of any injuries or death in the incident.

KCSO Patrol and Major Crimes Units are already on the scene. The suspect is still at large, according to KCSO, and is armed.

According to (KCSO) the suspect is a male in his late teens or early twenties who weighs between 145 and 165 pounds, is between 5’8 and 5’10 in height, and has brown or black hair.

He is sporting a blue bag, light grey sweatpants or shorts, a light grey hoodie with an emblem on the front, blue and white tennis shoes, and either dark grey sweatpants or light grey shorts.

The suspect might be riding a toboggan.

KCSO has asked locals to not approach the man if he is spotted. They have been advised to call 911 directly. 

KCSO has asked local homeowners and businesses to help with the search for the suspect. 

They have also instructed residents from nearby neighborhoods to avoid the area.
