Portland residents were left without power for hours on Thursday as ice storm Eliott approached the metro area. 

At 7:30 in the morning, Portland General Electric reported 65 ongoing power outages affecting more than 4100 individuals.

As of 7:30 am, 1500 individuals were affected by 16 outages as reported by Pacific Power.

Extremely low temperatures and wind are accompanied by power disruptions. Starting on Thursday and continuing through early Saturday, it is anticipated to get worse with freezing rain and ice.
