At least two people, including a 5-year-old child, were killed and several others were injured in a stabbing in Hopewell Township, York County, on Monday evening. 

Cops responded to the first block of Firebox Court in Hopewell Township shortly after 7pm on Monday after receiving reports of a mass stabbing incident. The responding officers found two people – a 34-year-old woman and a 5-year-old, dead at the scene. Their families have been notified and autopsies will be scheduled soon.

“Details of the incident are not fully known and are still being investigated by (Pennsylvania State Police),” the coroner’s office said in a statement.

Meanwhile, several others were found with injuries and rushed to a local hospital. The exact number of injuries and their conditions were not known.

Police said one individual was taken into custody in connection with the stabbing. No other information was release as of Monday night.
