The 20th-anniversary reunion special of the global phenomenon Harry Potter, titled ‘Return to Hogwarts’, released on January 1. As fans around the world geared up to welcome the new year with their favourite characters, a specific blunder caught their eye.

In a major mix up, the reunion accidentally featured a childhood photograph of Emma Roberts in place of Emma Watson’s, the actor who played Hermoine in the series.

The photo used during Watson’s segment in the reunion had actually been posted by Roberts on Instagram back in 2012.

Soon, fans started noticing the goof-up and shared it on social media. One user wrote, “Have you seen this? They put a picture a Emma Roberts to illustrate the childhood of Emma.” Another tweeted, “Nobody double checked?”

Both the actors had started their careers as child artists. Roberts, the niece of Hollywood star Julia Roberts, made her debut in 2001 with the film Blow. The same year, the first part of the Harry Potter series, ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’, also released, marking Watson’s debut.
