As Donald Trump faces a pivotal moment in his legal battles, President Joe Biden has made it clear that he is not closely following the former president’s court appearance.

Trump is set to be arraigned on four federal charges related to attempts to overthrow the 2020 election results. However, during his vacation in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Biden told CNN that he is not keeping tabs on Trump’s legal troubles.

While Trump prepares for his court appearance in Washington D.C., Biden is making the most of his week-long respite at the seaside town. Alongside his wife Jill, the president has been indulging in leisurely activities, including daily biking and reading on the beach.

The couple also enjoyed a date night, complete with a seafood dinner at Matt’s Fish Camp, followed by a theater screening of “Oppenheimer,” a film about the man who developed the atomic bomb.

During his vacation, Biden has been spotted taking phone calls and browsing his iPhone, even sharing something with the first lady at one point. However, he has managed to find time for relaxation, as evidenced by a snooze on the beach while Jill read the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel “Demon Copperhead.”

Trump’s arraignment is anticipated to be a significant moment, with a grand jury having already voted to indict him on charges of conspiracy to defraud the U.S., conspiracy against citizens’ rights, obstruction of an official proceeding, and witness tampering.

The 45-page indictment alleges that Trump was “determined to remain in power” despite having lost the presidency to Biden. It claims that he and his co-conspirators used false claims of election fraud to attempt to “subvert the legitimate election results and change electoral votes” in favor of Trump.

Additionally, he is expected to stand trial in New York next year on accusations of falsifying business documents after making hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels.
