Rumors are circulating online speculating that former president Donald Trump is having an affair with former Arizona gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake.
Lake, a former local news reporter who fell short of defeating Democrat Katie Hobbs for governor of Arizona in November, is said to have moved into Mar-A-Lago, President Trump’s exclusive club in Palm Beach, to the point where she spends more time there than his wife, Melania. Kari Lake is present every evening, according to a person who spoke to People. According to Jezebel, “There’s a suite there that she practically lives in.”
Jenna Ellis, a former Trump attorney, got into a heated online debate with Kari Lake’s campaign Twitter account after a message on Thursday night.
The back-and-forth began after Ellis shared a story from People magazine that quoted anonymous sources as saying Lake has been a frequent visitor to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort while aiming to be his running mate for the 2024 presidential election.
Ellis tweeted, “She’s couch-surfing at her friend’s house like a bum college dropout.” The Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is projected in national polls to be Trump’s main rival for the GOP nomination in 2024, has come under assault recently from Trump fans despite the fact that Ellis served as a senior legal counsel to Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign.

Her most recent remark on Lake sparked more criticism from the Lake camp as well as from other conservatives, including Caitlyn Jenner and far-right activist Laura Loomer.

Lake and the former president have become close because they both believe the 2020 presidential election was rigged, and she employed the same strategy in her gubernatorial campaign. In May, an Arizona judge dismissed her election complaint after she attempted to challenge the voting results. Anyone who follows Donald Trump’s political tactics will recognize this strategy.
However, there is no evidence that Lake and Trump share anything more than a professional relationship.
