Joe Biden, the President of the United States, has expressed his desire to run for office again in 2024 during a press conference he held at the White House. His comments came in response to questions select correspondents were able to ask the President after his speech.

Biden is currently 79 years of age, and is the oldest US President in the country’s history. He will be 81 by the time the 2024 presidential election commences.

Another reporter probed the President further, asking him whether his plans to re-run for POTUS will be affected by knowing that around 2/3rd of the country does not want him to run for a second term.

Biden, in response, put his most confident self forward and said that it doesn’t change his plan in any way.

The President began the press conference beaming with confidence as it has now come to light that the midterms did not experience a “red wave” as expected by most political experts. A number of GOP candidates backed by former President Donald Trump have also bitten the dust this time around. Biden thus began his speech by saying that the election day was a great day for democracy.

Biden also spoke about how the “red wave”, as predicted by many, did not happen. The President went on to thank the younger population of America for coming out to vote in large numbers. He said his administration will continue to focus on lowering the prices of gas, drugs, and health insurance.

When asked about how he is willing to work with Republicans, Biden said that he will be inviting GOP House leaders to the White House to discuss a number of issues with them, but will not compromise when it comes to issues like abortion.

The President also said taxes will not go up for American citizens earning less than $400,000 per year.
