While shots rang out at the East coast tonight, the West coast also reeled under the effect of gun violence. An incident of shooting near Freeway 101 in Hollywood Hills has led the police to block off both sides of a section of the freeway. No injury has been reported in this case.

The shooting in New York comes in the wake of a federal judge regarding a part of the latest gun laws of the state that prohibits individuals from concealed carry of weapons at certain places as unconstitutional.

According to Judge Glenn Suddaby, the new laws can cause “unprecedented constitutional violations”. Regarding the latest ruling, the senior vice-president of Gun Owners of America said, “We are excited to see Kathy Hochul finally served a plate of humble pie, and we are fully prepared to continue the fight should she again attempt to disarm the citizens of her state at a time when her party’s policies are only escalating the danger that everyday citizens face”.

The judgement was passed in accordance with a lawsuit that had been filed by the GOA in September 2022. The lawsuit stated that the new laws were “passed without the required public posting, comment and debate.”
