Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, revealed in an interview with US TV host Oprah Winfrey on Sunday that she and Prince Harry married three days before the official ceremony secretly.  “Three days before our wedding, we got married,” Markle said, revealing that they swapped vows in private before Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welsby ahead of the televised spectacle on May 19, 2018 at Britain’s Windsor Castle.

Meghan, who was a famous actor in the US, met Prince Harry in 2016. The couple avoided the press for a year and in 2017 during Invictus Games in Toronto, the two were first photographed holding hands in public, smiling and laughing.

During their interview after the engagement, Meghan talked about Harry’s proposal. She said it was in November 2017 that Harry got down on one knee to propose to her as they made roast chicken together at their home in Kensington Palace.

The couple stepped back from their royal duties in 2020 and moved to California in the US. They made some stark revelations during their two-hour tell-all interview with Oprah on Sunday.

Hary and Meghan have one son and are expecting their second child.
