Born on March 12, 1947, at Harper University Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, Mitt Romney, whose full name is Willard Mitt Romney, hails from a distinguished family. He is one of four children born to his father, George W. Romney, an automobile executive, and his mother, Lenore Romney, a former actress and homemaker. George W. Romney had his roots in a Mormon colony in Chihuahua, Mexico, while Lenore was a native of Logan, Utah. He is currently 76 years old.

Romney also revealed the story behind his anonymous Twitter account, Pierre Delecto, saying his son created it eight years ago. The account was discovered to be Romney’s when he mentioned using a private account to follow Twitter discussions. Romney explained that the account was primarily for listening and reading news articles. He admitted that he didn’t put much thought into the account’s name and noted it was set up quickly. Romney stated that the name Pierre Delecto was chosen with little deliberation. Despite the recent revelation, he plans to continue using Twitter through his official account.
