In game four of the best-of-seven series in NBA playoffs, Atlanta Hawks hammered New York Knicks 113-96 on Sunday to take a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference series, thanks to a match-high 27 points from Trae Young. 

The Hawks are just a win away from sealing a spot in Round 2 and with their trio of Young, John Collins and Danilo Gallinari firing all cylinders, Knicks are nearing their elimination.

Collins added 22 points while Italian Gallinari scored 21 off the bench and Clint Capella added 10 points and 15 rebounds for the Hawks.

Meanwhile, for New York, Julius Randle led with 23 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists while R.J. Barrett added 21 points for the Knicks.

At halftime, the Hawks led 53-49, but when they came back from the locker room they began to run away with it. At one point they led the Knicks by 26, threatening to turn the game into an embarrassing blowout.

Later NBA playoff games Sunday had Phoenix at the Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn at Boston and the Los Angeles Clippers at Dallas.
