On September 9th, 2023, at 10:39 pm, the 25th district Police responded to an incident at 31XX N 7th St, following a report of a female who had been shot. Upon their arrival, the Police discovered an 18-year-old female victim with a single gunshot wound to her upper right leg. The victim was promptly transported to Temple University Medical Center by the Police and is currently in stable condition.
Initial findings from the investigation suggest that the victim had an ongoing dispute with her ex-girlfriend and the ex-girlfriend’s new partner. This dispute escalated to the point where they drove to the victim’s location in the vicinity of 31XX N 7th St and fired shots at her from a white vehicle while she was on the highway. Due to heavily tinted windows on the vehicle, it remains unclear who exactly fired the shot that struck the victim.

As of now, there have been no arrests made in connection with this incident. The motive behind the shooting is believed to be domestic in nature, and the investigation is actively ongoing, with the Special Investigation Group handling the case.
On the same day, in another incident, a man is currently in critical condition after a double shooting occurred in North Philadelphia.
According to the police, the two victims were seated inside their vehicle on Lehigh Avenue, near Franklin Street, at around 3:15 a.m. Suddenly, an assailant from another car began firing shots, striking both men.
Authorities discovered a total of 30 bullets at the crime scene. Fortunately, the second victim is anticipated to recover from their injuries.
As of now, investigators have not provided any information regarding a suspect or the motive behind this shooting. The case remains under investigation.
