A shooting incident was reported in Oak Park in the 900 block of Madison Street on Saturday afternoon. The horrific incident claimed the lives of four people. The shooting occurred during the suburban funeral procession, as confirmed by police authorities.

Police authorities have stated that the shooting specifically targeted members of the funeral procession. No bystanders were harmed during the incident.

Police have reported that due to a shooting incident during a funeral procession, Madison Avenue in Oak Park has been closed in both directions. Several individuals were injured in the incident.

Oak Park Police Department took to Twitter to give an update regarding the shooting. The tweet said, “Oak Park Police are responding to a shooting that occurred this afternoon on the 900 block of Madison St. as part of a funeral procession. Madison is closed in both directions in the vicinity at this time. More information will be posted as it becomes available.”

Meanwhile, another shooting incident was reported in Philadelphia which claimed five lives and leaves multiple injured, as confirmed by police authorities.

A homicide was reported in the Tacony neighborhood on the 7100 block of Jackson Street, according to investigators. Following an argument, the incident occurred shortly before 9 pm on Friday.

According to police reports, the first investigation shows that the gunman and the victim’s daughter had a verbal argument inside a house on Jackson Street. Before fleeing the scene, the shooter allegedly made threats to everyone present. According to authorities, the criminal later returned and shot the victim three times.

Following the encounter, the suspect fled in an SUV and was last seen driving south on Roosevelt Boulevard. The police currently have only a brief description of the culprit, identifying him as a 31-year-old guy.
