President Joe Biden, via a tweet, responded to Donald Trump’s criticism on United States border security at his Waco rally in Texas on Saturday.

“MAGA House Republican proposals would slash funding for border security – a move that could allow nearly 900 pounds of fentanyl into our country. We need more resources to secure the border. Not less,” Biden tweeted.

After slamming Biden for his policies, Trump said: “As president, I will immediately end the invasion of our southern border.”

Donald Trump in August 2017 roped in the Reforming American Immigration for a Strong Economy (RAISE) Act. The RAISE Act seeked to reduce levels of legal immigration to the US, especially through the southern border, by 50% by halving the number of green cards issued.

Joe Biden, on the other hand, has issued an asylum rule. As per the President, it will “encourage migrants to avail themselves of lawful, safe, and orderly pathways into the United States, or otherwise to seek asylum or other protection in countries through which they travel, thereby reducing reliance on human smuggling networks that exploit migrants.”

The Biden administration is under fire for their policy.

Donald Trump was holding his first election rally on Saturday. At Waco, Texas, he slammed his Republican rival Ron DeSantis and officials investigating him. The former President is being investigated in the hush money case. He has been accused of paying adult film star Stormy Daniels to not talk about her alleged affair with him in 2016.

Trump said that it was a ‘witch hunt’ against him.

“The Biden regime’s weaponization of law enforcement against their political opponents is something straight out of the Stalinist Russia horror show,” Trump said. “From the beginning it’s been one witch hunt and phony investigation after another.”
