A horrific shooting incident occurred near a nightclub in Sacramento County on Sunday morning, as confirmed by police officials. The incident claimed the lives of two individuals including the nightclub owner.

According to the sheriff’s office, two men were shot and killed early on Sunday morning in Sacramento County, close to a nightclub. In response to reports of a shooting near Sacto by Night, deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of Governor’s Circle in the south Sacramento area at around 1:45 a.m.

Two men with potentially fatal gunshot wounds were found by deputies upon their arrival; both men were subsequently declared dead at the scene. The nightclub owner was one of the victims, according to the sheriff’s office.

After leaving the scene of the shooting in a white car, the suspects were apprehended by California Highway Patrol officers.

Detectives found during the course of their investigation that a gang had been at the nightclub and had not left by the time it closed. According to officials, this refusal led to an altercation that started in the parking lot. 

The two men who died at the scene were shot by one of the gang members during the altercation, according to the sheriff’s office. Several weapons were taken from the suspects’ car as part of the investigation.

As of now, police officials have not disclosed the names of suspects and victims involved in the shooting.

Meanwhile, another horrific shooting incident occurred in Greenbelt, Maryland. The incident left one 21-year-old woman in critical condition after she was shot.

The Greenbelt Police Department confirmed that the shooting happened at 1:30 p.m. outside an apartment building in the 5200 block of Springhill Court. The woman was airlifted to Baltimore Shock Trauma in critical condition by emergency medical personnel.

Within the complex, investigators roped off a sizable area, and they were seen labeling evidence as they examined it.
