Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed that one person died on Monday, September 19, after being shot during a robbery at LA’s Encino neighbourhood. The incident, which took place around 6:30 AM, happened at 18015 Martha Street, near Burbank Boulevard and Lindley Avenue.
The police initially reported that they had “found evidence of a shooting but no victim”. Later they stated, “A subsequent radio (call) of a shooting victim led officers to a hospital where they determined the victim at the hospital was connected to the shooting”.
The LAPD was informed by a witness that the robbers included one woman and two men. They fled the scene after robbing and shooting the victim, who, according to the police later passed away after being taken to the hospital by one of his friends.

The 32-year-old victim, whose name the officials have not revealed, was living in a short-term rental facility where the incident occurred.
The police saw a surveillance video from the Ring camera of a neighbour. In the video, an individual was seen hiding beside a car in a driveway, while another had his arms on a fence. The said rental facility, according to Fox11 who spoke to neighbours, has been the subject of a number of visits by law enforcement officials due to parties being held there.

CBSLA reports that authorities are waiting for a search warrant to enter the facility. It is still not clear how many people are in the house currently.

The police are looking for two men in connection with the incident.
