A shooting at an apartment complex in Greensboro, North Carolina, left two people dead and four others injured late Tuesday.

The Greensboro Police Department said in a statement that officers were called to Circle Drive. When they arrived at the scene, they found two people dead with gunshot wounds. Four additional victims were at the scene. They were rushed to at a local hospital for treatment.

The incident took place amid NC A&T’s homecoming activities at an apartment complex, which serves as off-campus housing for a lot of the company’s students.

An AggieAlert was sent out at 5:19 a.m. Wednesday urged people to continue to avoid Circle Drive, Castlewood Drive and Palmetto Street amid the shooting incident.

Areas of Circle Drive, Palmetto Street and Sullivan Street were cordoned off for hours as officers continued their investigation into the shooting incident.

No suspect has been named in the incident so far. The condition of the four victims admitted to the hospital remains unknown. 

The motive behind the shooting is also not known.
