Five people were killed in a shooting at a home in Cleveland, Texas, late Friday evening. The suspect, a Mexican male approximately 5’6″ tall with short black hair, is still at large. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, black shirt and work boots.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:31 PM local time when the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office got a call about harassment at the house in Cleveland – a small town 55 miles north of Houston. On arriving, they found five victims, including an 8-year-old.

“The Mexican male subject, he has been known to shoot his 223 out in his front yard, which is evident by the shell casings that are laying in the front yard,” the Sheriff’s Office said.

The police said that the suspect shot with an AR-15-style rifle and is still intoxicated. They did not disclose the identity, ages and possible relationship of the victims to the suspect.

However, they confirmed the victims were all from Honduras, and also the fact that four were found dead when the police arrived, while the fifth one died at the hospital.

Investigation into the incident is still underway and the crime scene is active. The police said that even though the suspect is still at large he is not currently in the area.

They have instructed locals in the town to “stay inside and stay clear” of the crime scene till the end of the investigations.
