Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Richard Branson, some of the world’s richest individuals who reached there by hard work and constant efforts to be one-up the entire world. They are all masters of different traits that helped them achieve fame and wealth. However, there’s one thing that they all have in common the passion to make it to the top of the world. This time literally to the top. i,e. in space.

Ever since the concept of space tourism came into being, there has been a race among high and wealthy individuals to launch one of their own. This modern-day fad was triggered once again when Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ rocket company Blue Origin announced its first manned commercial space mission.

With constant developments and the introduction of new technology every day. Here’s a look at some of the most prominent commercial space missions in making.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX mission

Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s private spaceflight company SpaceX, launched its first manned flight last yea. It was the first non-government vessel to dock a crew at the International Space Station (ISS).

After that, another four-astronaut team reached the ISS in April. While this was about the expert crew. SpaceX had already announced the launch of its first ‘all civilians’ space flight by the end of 2021. The company said in a press release it’ll pick three people to ride alongside Isaacman to orbit aboard SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule.

Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin mission

Owner of e-commerce giant Amazon, Jeff Bezos’ rocket corporation Blue Origin announced its first astronaut crew space mission via its New Shepard spacecraft to be launched on July 20. This marks the 52nd anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.

Bezos will himself will be a part of the crew along with his 82-year old, a female pilot Wally Funk and also an unidentified person who reportedly paid $28 million for the ride.

Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic space mission

Billionaire entrepreneur Richard Branson’s space tourism company Virgin Galactic announced that it will attempt to launch its next test spaceflight, Virgin’s VSS Unity spaceplane on July 11 this year. What’s common in Branson’s and Bezos mission is that both the tycoons will be on board.

Virgin Galactic is also planning to launch two additional test flights before opening up commercial service in 2022.
