The ‘youngest employed software developer on the planet’ is expected to aid Elon Musk’s objectives in the aerospace industry.

Just before he was set to graduate from Santa Clara University, Kairan Quazi, 14, won a prestigious position on the satellite team of a space exploration business.

The little prodigy could speak complete sentences at the age of two and solve complicated mathematics problems at the age of six, but he acknowledged that his school years were difficult since his contemporaries couldn’t keep up.

“It was physically painful for me to sit through classrooms trapped, existentially bored, for hours and months — and eventually years — on end, and not learning at the level that I physically, intellectually and emotionally needed,” he said.

Quazi’s young career at SpaceX, where less than 1% of candidates are hired by the tech giant, would be enough to elevate him to the top of his field if it weren’t for his age.

Earlier this month, the Santa Clara City Council recognized his youthful accomplishments, and he sought to allay any concerns about his youth.

‘For the people out there that I think are concerned that my childhood is being destroyed, I’m really here to tell you that that’s just not true,’ he said.

The prodigy, who Santa Clara Mayor Lisa Gillmor called the “youngest employed software engineer on the planet… on the planet,” said that she made her feel “a little like an underachiever” in comparison.

He has been described as a young man who is “profoundly gifted” and has intelligence that is almost superhuman. Kairan admits he didn’t know his IQ when asked, but said “the doctor told me I maxed out.”

The little marvel, who spent his childhood soaring above other children, was promptly enrolled in a school for exceptional children, but claimed that it still fell short of meeting his intellectual needs.

Kairan was prepared to put his education to the test after completing community college, but he soon discovered that disclosing his age made potential employers unsatisfied.

That is, until he applied for a job at SpaceX, which, according to him, enjoyed the fact that he was so young.

But in the previous years, he had experienced frustration because he was intellectually far superior to his fellow students. Quazi sought to improve things since he believed there was “nothing noble or dignified” about his schooling, but he found it difficult to focus in simple subjects.
