In the early hours of Sunday morning, two men sustained injuries in distinct shooting incidents that occurred within minutes of each other.

The initial incident, reported at 1:52 a.m., transpired in the 3000 block of East Livingston Avenue in east Columbus. According to a statement from Columbus police, responding officers discovered an adult male with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, and fortunately, he is anticipated to recover from his injuries.

Subsequently, at 1:59 a.m. in the Somerset neighborhood just south of Easton Town Center, another shooting was reported on the 3200 block of Plum Creek Drive. In this case, a man reported being confronted by two male suspects who, as per the police, “yelled something to him” before opening fire.

The victim from the second incident was also taken to a nearby hospital, and his injuries are expected to be non-life-threatening.

These incidents highlight the concerning occurrence of two separate shootings in close succession, prompting heightened attention from law enforcement. Investigations into both incidents are likely underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the shootings and identify the individuals responsible for these acts of violence.
