Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams recorded the first 200-yard receiving game of the 2021 season during the Sunday Night Football clash between Packers and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Adams caught 11 passes for a career-high 206 yards and a touchdown during the 25-22 win over the Bengals.

The All-Pro receiver shared in his post-game interview that he had been waiting and preparing for the big game on Sunday in Cincinnati.

“Yeah, I told at least three people outside the building, talking to family, one of my cousins, talking to my wife, I told her this was going to be my career-high this game, so, either I’m clairvoyant or I know what I’m talking about,” Adams said in his post-game interview.

Adams’ masterclass against the Bengals featured the first 200-yard receiving game of his career. His newest record beat his previous best of 196 yards, set last year against the Houston Texans.

Adams had catches of 59 yards, 34 yards, 24 yards, 22 yards, 20 yards and 17 yards, giving him six major plays on Sunday.

Throughout the five games he has been involved in so far, Adams’ stat-sheet boasts of 42 catches for 579 yards and two touchdowns, which puts him on pace for 142 catches, 1,968 yards and seven touchdowns over a 17-game schedule.

In his post-game interview, Adams also addressed his connection with teammate Aaron Rodgers in the game against the Bengals.

“It was good,” Adams said. “Obviously we had a pretty productive day.”

“There’s a reason he’s got that 99 rating in Madden. He’s a baller,” coach Matt LaFleur said.

Adams’ 200-yard receiving game made him the seventh player overall in franchise history to produce a game with 200 or more receiving yards, joining Nelson, Javon Walker, Don Beebe, James Lofton, Carroll Dale and Billy Howton.
