A picture of the suspect lying dead was shared on Twitter. Social media users spotted that he had a tattoo on his hand. Several said that it is of a Texas prison gang called ‘the tango blast’, concluding that he could be a cartel member.

“As a former Texas state, corrections officer, I noticed the shooter has a Dallas a Texas logo on his hands, which is common for a Texas (TDCJ) prison gang called “the tango blast”. It’s possibly a sign that something is very wrong and this might be cartel affiliated,” a Twitter user said.

“The Texas shooter is either a gang member, a cartel member or both. He was going to get his hands on whatever weapons he wanted regardless of the gun laws. Outlaws don’t follow the laws. That’s the point. Strict gun laws in Texas would just put residents at a disadvantage,” a second one added.

“The Allen Texas Mall Shooter is a member of the MS13 Gang thats why they wont give a name Cartel’s are now shooting up malls,” a third one said.

Texas senator Ted Cruz and governor Greg Abott offered their condolences and praised law enforcement for gunning down the “monster” shooter.
