Former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver, Henry Ruggs, returned to the Clark County Detention Center in Nevada this week, where he was required to pose for a new mug shot, following his DUI crash case plea deal on Tuesday. According to authorities, Ruggs was required to report back to the Las Vegas jail on Thursday for reprocessing.
Ruggs was arrested in November 2021, following a car accident that resulted in the death of 23-year-old Ruihua “Tina” Ma. Ruggs was subsequently released by the Raiders and charged with multiple felonies, including DUI resulting in death. On Tuesday, Ruggs pleaded guilty to one count of DUI resulting in serious bodily harm, as well as one count of reckless driving.
Ruggs is a former professional American football wide receiver who played for the Las Vegas Raiders in the National Football League (NFL). In 2021, Ruggs caused a car crash that killed a 23-year-old woman and her dog. He was released by the Raiders the same day. In May 2023, Ruggs agreed to plead guilty to a felony count of driving under the influence (DUI) resulting in death and a misdemeanor count of vehicular manslaughter.
The most recent occasion for 24-year-old Henry Ruggs to pose for a mug shot was in 2021, after he was accused by authorities of driving drunk and crashing his sports car into the back of Tina Tintor’s Toyota.
During the time of the incident, Ruggs was wearing a neck brace and had visible cuts and bruises on his face as seen in his mug shot. He has since recovered from the injuries sustained in the crash. This week, Ruggs’ attorneys informed the court that he had reached an agreement with prosecutors to resolve the criminal case against him
