Tyre Nichols, 29, died three days after being brutally beaten by police during a traffic stop in Memphis, Tennessee, shocking people all around the world. The reason for the assault is still a mystery to many, but some online users think the victim was having an affair with the ex-wife and new mother of one of the police officers.
Tyre Nichols was pulled over for reckless driving on the evening of January 7 according to the Memphis Police Department. Tyre Nichols was coming home at the time. He eventually came under control and was pummeled by five policemen as he sought to escape from the officers.
The now-deceased may be seen on bodycam video being kicked, punched in the head, pepper sprayed, tasered, and repeatedly smacked with a baton. Nichols succumbed to his wounds three days after that and died.
In addition to being dismissed, police officers Justin Smith, Emmitt Martin III, Desmond Mills Jr., Tadarrius Bean, and Demetrius Haley are also being prosecuted for second-degree murder and aggravated assault.
Numerous people kept looking into Nichols’ killing because they thought the events had racist overtones. However, some online users now think Nichols was brutally attacked for a personal reason.
Although Nichols’ employment at FedEx was confirmed by CBS News, some online users have conjectured that he was dating the ex-wife of accused cop Demetrius Haley, currently out on bond.
The same was tweeted by @sirmaejor, who wrote: “BREAKING NEWS: I am being told that Tyre Nichols was in a relationship with and worked at a Memphis @FedEx with #MemphisPolice Demetrius Haleys’s ex-girlfriend & baby mama.”

The online user claimed that Nichols was dating the police officer’s ex-girlfriend, but other users pointed out that she was actually the officer’s ex-wife. The post further stated that Tyre Nichols was photographed by Haley and “gave it to his baby mama” while Nichols slumped against a car after being assaulted.
Twitter user @LisaCampbell102 added to the rumors by tweeting the following: “I did some investigating into the #TyreNicols Murder and felt something was off and I was right I’m being told that #TyreNicols Murder was personal (which I felt) and he was sleeping with one of his murders wife ‘Demetrius Haley’ Tyre & the Officer wide worked at FedEx 2Gather!”
Some Twitter users questioned the veracity of the rumors linking Nichols to Haley’s ex-wife while also expressing their outrage about the rumors.

Although it is unclear if it was Haley’s ex-wife or ex-girlfriend, internet users appear to be confident that Nichols had a relationship with a woman the policeman was involved with in the past. It is significant to note that official sources have not endorsed the rumor.
The 29-year-old man had a four-year-old son and worked for FedEx. He frequently worked the second shift, then took his evening meal break at his mother’s place around 7 o’clock every day.
He worked for a large corporation and also ran his own photography website, where he spoke about how the camera helped him “look at the world in a more creative way.”
