Former President Donald Trump, who is currently running for the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election, dropped by a pizza joint in Fort Myers, Florida, on Friday and began handing out pizza slices to the crowd of supporters after a campaign speech.

The impromptu pizza party in Downtown House of Pizza was held after the 45th POTUS spoke at the Lee County Republican Party’s Lincoln Reagan Dinner. In a video from the surprise party, Trump could be seen telling a crowd around him, “Enjoy the pizza, enjoy the pizza!” standing near the cash register of the local pizzeria.

Within four months, Trump has managed to turn the tables when it comes to the Republican presidential primary. Although he was initially tailing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who has emerged as the biggest rival in his own party, despite not having yet officially announced his candidature for the presidential bid. Trump has quickly turned it into a 13-point lead, according to a new Wall Street Journal poll released Friday.

Republicans have rallied around Trump after he became the first former president in American history to be indicted. Last month, Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 felony charges. He launched his third White House campaign in November. Among potential GOP voters, Trump leads DeSantis 51% to 38% according to the poll.
