Every year EA Sports launches their latest version of the world’s biggest football video game and captures the imagination of the hardcore, as well as, casual players.

But, when does FIFA 22 release?

While the gamers are already getting hyped up about the upcoming edition, the developers will reportedly release the on or around October 1, 2021, following the trend of every FIFA edition since FIFA Football 2003. 

Although for most of the past few years, the video game title has been released in late September, last year, owing to the coronavirus pandemic, the release of FIFA 21 was pushed back to early October.

However, this year, there are no major delays expected, so FIFA 22 will be released on October 1. But the game will be available on September 27 for those who pre-order the Ultimate Edition.

On July 11, the game’s trailer was released, unveiling the game’s new features and visuals as well as the cover star for this year.

Paris Saint-Germain’s star forward Kylian Mbappe will be the face of the upcoming instalment. 

Which consoles will FIFA 22 be available on?

FIFA 22 will release on next-gen consoles PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, as well as Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

For FIFA 21, EA Sports had a Dual Entitlement offer that allowed users to upgrade their PS4 copy to PS5 or Xbox One copy to Xbox Series X/S at no additional cost. This offer is set to return for FIFA 22.

How much will FIFA 22 cost?

This year, the standard edition of FIFA 22 will cost £59.99 in the UK and $59.99 in the US. Prices have remained the same as last year, while EA Play subscribers can save 10% if they pre-order.

Meanwhile, FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition is priced at £89.99 and $99.99 on the Xbox and Playstation official stores.
