Police officials have arrested three people identified as Demario Williams, 22, Qasseem Dixon, 25, and Ryan Brown, 27, in connection with a drive-by shooting. The incident resulted in the death of a 9-year-old girl identified as Da’Myiah Barton-Pickens, which happened on Monday in Silverton.

Who are Demario Williams, Qasseem Dixon, and Ryan Brown?

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, the three men who were detained, are being charged with shooting about 30 rounds into Da’Myiah Barton-Pickens’ home on Plainfield Road. On Monday, the incident happened at 11:30 p.m. Barton-Pickens, along with two others, were present inside the home at the time. The hail of gunfire caused serious damage to the house and tragically killed Barton Pickens.

According to the investigation, it is likely that Qasseem Dixon and Ryan Brown drove to the house with the purpose of committing a robbery. The incident is thought to have been carried out in retribution against another person for drug-related disagreements. Although the investigation is still ongoing, these initial results imply that the drive-by shooting was related to both criminal activity and interpersonal disputes.

The first of the three suspects to be taken into custody on Thursday was Qasseem Dixon. He was detained on suspicion of aggravated murder and possession of weapons while inebriated. Dixon is being held in custody on a $2.5 million bond because of his prior convictions.

Ryan Brown surrendered to the police on Thursday. He is currently facing an aggravated murder charge in connection with the incident.

Demario Williams was later taken into custody and is now accused of carrying a concealed weapon. He also faces pending traffic-related charges in addition to these. Williams has been charged by law enforcement with trying to help Dixon and Brown cover up the murder. Police officials have recovered two handguns from their car.
