A young girl identified as Alicia Navarro, who had been missing since 2019, has been located safely, as confirmed by the Glendale Police Department in a news conference on July 26.

Her two-year disappearance was ended when authorities said they had found her in Montana. During the press conference, more information on the circumstances of her discovery and well-being was not disclosed as of now.

Who is Alicia Navarro?

Alicia Navarro is 18 years old. She disappeared more than three years ago after leaving her house in the middle of the night. She had only just turned 14 years old when she vanished.

The authorities said that Alicia Navarro was found in a town in Montana that is close to the U.S.-Canadian border. After a long and upsetting search, the officials expressed both satisfaction and hope upon discovering her, hoping to give her family some peace.

As per people related to the matter, Even as the years went by, Alicia Navarro’s mother never gave up looking for her. Alicia’s mother characterized her daughter’s conduct during her disappearance as being out of character for a high-functioning autistic kid.

According to the Glendale Police, Alicia Navarro appeared at a local Montana police station. The authorities’ efforts to record and confirm her safe arrival are shown by the footage and photo they provided of her at the police station.

Glendale PD Lt. Scott Waite in a statement said, “I would ask patience, not only for us as law enforcement in this investigation but patience for Alicia and for her family. We can only imagine what she’s going through, mentally, emotionally, as well as her family, and as much as we’d like to say this is the end, this is probably only the beginning of where this investigation will go.”

Police said the 18-year-old has asked for privacy for herself and her family.
